Refined Beauty began with a simple prayer and a mama’s desire to find something pure and effective for irritated skin.

When my daughter developed eczema, I didn’t want to settle for products filled with toxins, preservatives, and synthetic ingredients. I started searching for a better way — something gentle, natural, and trustworthy. That search led me to tallow.

I rendered it myself using suet from a local regenerative farm here in Virginia. When I whipped the final cream, I knew I had found something special. It was soft, white, and velvety. I tried it on my own skin first, and within a day, the redness and discomfort had eased. Then I gently applied it to my daughter’s legs — and to my amazement, the same thing happened. Her redness and irritation noticeably calmed.

Still, I didn’t just want a good idea — I wanted God’s direction. I prayed sincerely, asking for His guidance. That night, I had a dream. My uncle visited me and said, “I hear you are starting a tallow business…” I woke up overjoyed and with peace in my heart, knowing this was more than just a solution for our family — it was meant to bless others, too.

With His blessing, Refined Beauty was born.
